MAKING FRIENDS WITH YOUR UNCONSCIOUS MIND

Have you ever said you want to lose weight, but found yourself eating all the foods you said you shouldn’t eat? 

Have you ever felt afraid or doubted yourself for absolutely no rational reason?

Have you ever wanted to achieve something but felt like it was far beyond what is possible for you?

For so many of us, we have an internal battle that goes on inside at times in our lives.

Where we feel completely out of alignment or like we aren’t doing the things that we really want to do. Where we feel stuck in limbo, between wanting one thing, but feeling unmotivated or like we are in our own way from getting it.

The biggest lightbulb moment for me several years ago was learning more about my unconscious mind and how my values, beliefs, attitudes, emotions and memories are all stored in my unconscious. And that our unconscious mind is the part of us that is responsible for up to 95% of our behaviour, responses and day to day habits!

Learning more about my unconscious mind and how to make friends with it and ‘wave the white flag peacefully’ has been the biggest gift on my journey, and that’s why I’m so passionate about teaching clients and students about how to integrate their conscious and unconscious mind and how to live life fully in alignment.

An example of this might be, say for example, you want to lose weight. But deep down you have a very strong belief in your unconscious mind that you may not even be aware of that you will always be overweight or by being overweight you are safe from unwanted attention.

That belief is always going to supersede any conscious effort you put in to lose weight and it is going to be an uphill battle. As soon as you start losing weight you’ll unconciously self-sabotage and find a way to confirm your hidden belief. And when you’re trying to overcome your unconscious mind through force, you’re fighting against 95% of your own internal power.

If you shift that belief that no longer serves you, and start believing that it’s easy for you to be healthy and attain your ideal weight, all of a sudden the battle ceases. All of a sudden you GAIN 95% of your power to work towards your dream. You start feeling inspired, hopeful and motivated and maybe you can even see a picture of yourself achieving your goal.

Now, this doesn’t just apply to weight loss. This applies to relationships, business goals, financial…. everything!

You see, we create internal representations of EVERYTHING in our reality.

Past, present and future.

And by making friends with your unconscious mind you can start to work together as friends, rather than against it (and yourself).

Your action for this week: Think about where you are in conflict with your desires and your actions. For example, you say you want one thing but your actions show you believe or unconsciously want something different.
