OUR WORLD IS CHANGING FASTER THAN OUR MINDS CAN COMPREHEND

Do you ever feel as though the world is changing so fast right now it’s hard to even comprehend?

Today’s blog is a reflection on why I think so many of us are being called to holistic paths, and what the best form of defence is against the natural fear we feel when faced with so much change and uncertainty….

The world is in an interesting place right now.

I mean, did you know that a robot in Saudi Arabia named Sophie was granted citizenship late last year? She has more rights than most Saudi Arabian women… and can legally earn an income and travel. She is not human….!

 

Did you know that a six year old made $11 million USD last year on Youtube just for reviewing toys on his channel? He earns more than the President of the United States…. he is six years old!

 

And (I shared this at my New Years Success workshop last weekend) did you know that by 2020 the World Health Organisation estimates that depression will be the second leading cause of disease world-wide? That’s huge.

 

This isn’t meant to concern you. 

This is meant to focus and even strengthen you

 

And it truly is no surprise to me that more and more of us are being called by holistic paths today.

Health, wellness coaches, personal trainers, nurses, Reiki teachers, yoga teachers… the world is calling for you to step up and help balance out this silent battle of health in the Earth. To take part in a u-turn towards the natural in a world that we have been turning completely unnatural. This week I recorded a 10 minute tip Podcast about one of my 5 keys to fulfilment, vitality and why it’s so crucial now more than ever.

Because I believe that the health of this world reflects the health of ourselves as individuals.

And that’s why I am obsessed with helping people understand themselves, their emotions and their minds better. What could be more important right now?

Our world is changing FASTER than our minds can barely even comprehend.

And as humans, we can often FEAR what we don’t understand.

 

And when we are afraid, we do two things.

Either we feel anxious and worried about the unknown which blocks out the capacity to change, we become experts at distraction, at procrastination, at numbing the feelings of fear.

…or we shut down and stop wanting to play in this game of life altogether… blocking the world out into the darkness of depression.

The best response to fear is gentle action. 

Whether it’s breathing.

Take a deep breath in and out right now, into your belly.

Whether it’s movement.

Stretch your arms up over your head for a brief moment and feel your body uncoil.

Whether it’s stepping through the fear and exploring the unknown.

Allow yourself to explore your fears and doubts, what could they be trying to teach you?

Whether it’s asking for help.

Who can help you in your life right now? 

 

Face the fear, shine a light on it and ask it what it is there to teach you…

Because I promise you, staying in the darkness, alone and afraid is not the answer.
